limbal1Limbal relaxing incisions are a way to correct mild amounts of corneal astigmatism in patients during cataract surgery. During cataract surgery, a series of small incisions placed at exact positions on the eye can alter the shape of the eye’s cornea. This reduces astigmatic error and improves vision. For patients with a more severe form of astigmatism, a Toric IOL might be best.
